The idea of Eugenics is not, in my view, immoral. The immorality is in the limitations it creates, and the way prejudice devastates individual and social lives. While I agree that we do not have to respond moraly to the Chinese attempts at super-han-people making, I think that perhaps it is an opportunity to learn how to make our societies more welcoming and responsive to individuals. This might not be a universal “correct” approach, however, being a bit more like China, just because of some temporal economic circumstances, is a bit of a poor excuse to introduce authoritarianism via the back door, no?
