My housemate is going to meet Brighton’s green mp, Caroline Lucas, later today. I asked her to tell our dear MP that I think, unfortunately, she failed. My housemate asked why am saying that. Well, check the growing support for UKIP. Connection? I think it is well known that in hard economic times, support for […]

a us-china summit, or obama heads to teach Xi Jinping how to track citizens flinchlessly – http://arty.li/Zpc
Consider the theatre of airports. The media of porting from one designated area to another. X is the spot for stateland#1. Through the medium of an arbitrary line, we have to Show a passport and cross – trans – to area Y where slightly different rules are being mediated, eg “duty free” shops. All these […]
It is kind of early in the morning and am thinking the old Art = ? – is it a question of relevance? – how do I ask it? Say every time you came to visit me i’d ask if you fancied a brew, to which you’d answer: tea please. In turn, i’d hog the […]
The idea of a firefoxOS is very appealing. Check this! Its fab to use html5, javascript, etc to make apps that do not need to be in someone’s “store”. Its cool that, the source is javascript and more accessible for people – not-very-programmers – like me.. (according to one of firefox devs, who I met […]
Perhaps its a knee-jerk reaction to the life of ghost towns, but photography, somehow ironically, as a reflective media, seems to show that there is much more in there, much more to practice with deserted places worldwide. In my mind there are un-utterable links between ghosted places. Probably mixed with the sense of organic movements […]
just had a look at https://www.coursera.org/ Suspiciously corporate, but not just yet, I think.. So hey, why not use while the offer is hopefull and humane still? Perhaps I’ll do: https://www.coursera.org/course/molevol https://www.coursera.org/course/epigenetics https://www.coursera.org/course/pcd ………..or a bit of each? Maybe brashup on javascript..? nope.. no course.. though: https://www.coursera.org/course/digitalmedia (processing) https://www.coursera.org/course/metadata https://www.coursera.org/course/malsoftware could be interesting as well..
http://www.aber.ac.uk/media/Students/ram0205.html An informative introduction to ideas and practices of reflexivity http://www.slowmuse.com/tag/reflexive-conceptualism/ a sort of critique http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflexivity_%28social_theory%29 reflexivity in various social trajectories http://www.km-k.at/en/exhibition/doris-piwonka/ not sure why http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1667999/ a reflexive tv art reality show? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/reflexive this definition perhaps does not do justice to the link and line between reflexive and reflective?
A documentary re workers run factory following the capitalistic take over in greece circa 2011 Its interesting, perhaps wrongly, to watch the links between workers and “organisational helpers”. Might be using the wrong term, but the way “intelectuals” & “workers” operate together, eg here as information facilitators to activities that materialise the information. In my […]
http://seeks.hydraze.org – seems to be a working instant of http://seeks-project.info – a decentralised p2p(??) search tool.. Wondering if can be done on or in combination with http://searchnarcissus.net/ .. Anyhow.. Looks like my new searchtool to replace gogoduck.com..
Am doing searches for un/no/non-communications – when practices, activities, events or other stuff, does Not communicate, either by intent/nature or failure. eg when i type, i am doing a communicative practice that might fail to mean something, or be misunderstood/construed – however it is a communicative activity. When I go to the toilette, or fix […]
These are initial ideas/instigators for the practice of making road/way organisms. (In general, I think we can probably get rid of the physical elements, but perhaps I need to begin with the whole experience to be able to critique it..?) The way will be in the sole of the shoes and each day – a […]
digital research infrastructure 4 the arts & humanities – http://arty.li/Zp4 – another awful sounding name of an EU gem shunned by blighty?
Been stressing recently re how to do stuff in Borispol. ((DETAILS)) Seems like I am wrong. Wrong to imagine that there is a need to come to Borispol with a plan. I already have the collision – Berlin, art, Borispol, Spacetime, Language with the question of berlin-borispol art link? So perhaps instead of deciding that […]
The rage in anatolia/turkey/asia-minor’s cities like istanbul seems – from a brighton perspective – to be against the political activities of the regime. These activities raised some people’s ire because they seem to advance a religious – rather than secular agenda and policies – which will arbitrarily benefit the few and fail to take the […]
